The Honorable (Senator, Representative, Governor Last Name)
United States House of Representative/United States Senate/Governor’s office
Dear Senator/Representative/Governor (Last Name)-
I am concerned about the recent election of Donald Trump and Mike Pence. As your constituent, I am counting on you to represent me and reject any legislation or nomination that will threaten the rights and liberties of the people that you personally represent, as well as, the people of the United States of America.
[If you so choose, you can expand on why you are concerned. Suggestions include any and all of the following: racism, bigotry, ableism, women’s rights, rights of the LGBTQ community, racial profiling, anti-immigration, repeal of ACA, sexual assault, misogyny, climate denial, etc. You can also present facts, such as “Repeal of the ACA would leave millions without insurance, which will cost taxpayers in the long run,” “Continued denial of climate change will have disastrous consequences for generations,” “Defunding of Planned Parenthood will leave millions of women and men without access to reproductive health,” etc.]
I count on you to represent me and will be following the progress that will be made. In the coming years, I will be voting for the person that best represents my interests, and I trust that you will make the decisions that will get my vote in upcoming elections.
Thank you for your time and I appreciate your genuine representation of your constituents' voices.
